Poker Tables

As you understand, a poker game cannot start without specific properties like poker chips, cards and, of course, poker tables. Several men, as usual, take part in the game, and all of them sit at one poker table. So if you hear that a casino has, for example, five poker tables, it means that five games may take place in the casino in the same time.

By the way, in the USA, where poker is rather popular, in large gambling-houses sometimes are near 40 poker tables with 8-10 players, sitting at each one! So you even have to order a place in some of poker tables for playing poker beforehand.
But before the game starts, there should be defined places of each player at some of poker tables.

This is held by some kind of sortition: each player takes a card from the deck and shows it to others. The owner of the minor suit chooses his place at one of poker tables. The rest take their places clockwise after the first man in order of the seniority of their cards, from less to the most superior.


So, everybody has his place around some of poker tables. In front of each player there are two boxes - rectangles, outlined on the poker table. In the first the word ANTE is written. It is the box for your opening stake. Over this box there may be a circle with a letter B in it that means bonus. However, the circle may also be empty. The second box is named BET, it’s for your next stakes. The fact that a box would have no name, written on the table, is not connected with the rules of a game
